A Message from Jim Herfurth, Chairman
The overall mission for LOTC is to advocate for the highway and bridge infrastructure serving the Lake of the Ozarks that will allow for our continuing prosperity and improve quality of life through greater mobility and safety.
To be successful in the immediate future, and for the long pull, we must:..
- Maintain an organization that is well informed…fast on its feet…capable of reacting as required to current transportation issues, program and opportunities.
- Communicate regularly our Lake area transportation agenda with the Missouri Highways & Transportation Commission, MoDOT leadership, the administration, and local and state public officials.
- Present our case for transportation at the Lake in a manner than will compete with major urban areas that have millions of dollars available for planning and presentations on their transportation needs.
- Communicate regularly with lake residents and owners of property who live out of the area about the importance of our highway priorities and the current status of the program affecting our communities.
We are, right now, enjoying the success from efforts to-date to make new highways/bridges serving the Lake a high priority. Now, there is more to do to finish the job. All of us must work together to make sure that this gets done!
Check this LOTC WEB SITE regularly to stay current on our activities and to find out how you can help. We’ll post important “calls to action” on the WEB to invite your support and participation as required.
Questions? Comments? Call us…or email us as identified in the “Contact Us” section of this WEB.
